We're Here

I think my camera is officially dead, so we have to get a new one before I can post pictures-yuck!. We started our move Saturday and it rained THE WHOLE WAY! I literally didn't turn off my windshield wipers from Boise until a half hour away from Auburn (I thought it never rained in NV?). Rilynn threw up when we were only about 15 minutes away from Auburn, but other than that the kids traveled pretty good, thanks to Grandparent gifts. When we got here, there were about 7 men we had never met from the ward here to help us unload. One of them had brought us dinner (smoked steak tips-mmmmm) and another family had brought breakfast. Wow, how sweet. We had only been here like 5 minutes when Paxton decided to take on the huge/steep driveway on his scooter...guess who won...Not Paxton! His whole forehead, nose, lip, and both elbows have a mean road rash goin on!

The house is okay, big, but pretty awkward layout. I guess we just need to figure it out, but whatever the house lacks, the neighborhood makes up for it 10 fold! The gated neighborhood we are in is amazing. It is all built around a lake and was originally built to be a vacation resort neighborhood, but people liked it so much they started just living here. It has a big lake (that we can see from our front porch) and people are always boating and skiing on it, it has several little parks around the lake that are sandy little beaches and play grounds, it has a swimming pool w/a cute kiddy pool, a golf course, tennis courts, it is seriously cool.

Our ward was small, but sooo friendly and it is made up of just our neighborhood. It seemed so foreign to have to drive any distance to church, it is probably a 15-20 minute drive. They seem to have a lot of activities, so hopefully that will help us to make friends fast. Paxton is already invited to a birthday party this Saturday, Yeah!

Anyway so far so good...keep your fingers crossed.

It sounds like you guys are going to have fun, I hope you all do. Your picture slideshow is adorable, I love those smiley faces. Emma is already asking when we get to go see you.

We here miss you all so much but are so glad that the adjustment is going so smooth--like Joyce said you are in the excitement of the moment and the newness of all and we here at home miss giggles and patter of feet and gooing babies! Really I am grateful that all is gong so well and that you are all so happy. Brianne, you are finally from somewhere. May you continue to love it and be blessed!

I'm so excited for your new adventure in Cali, Brianne! It is bittersweet in a lot of ways, however, because we will miss you guys tremendously. Who will the boys play with when we go to Boise now? Sad! But we wish you the best of luck. Sounds like things are going very well so far.

I don't remember where the site was. I was trying to find it when I went to make it but I don't know where it was. Sorry.
