Wonderful One on Father's Day!

Jeff and Tim shared father's day with Cooper's birthday celebration over at Tim and Barbara's (my sister-in-law). Here was the cake. It was supposed to be a lion, my boys said it looked like a flower :(

The balloons, cake mess and presents. He loved the cake and kept trying to share, but no one wanted any. He was more interested in the golf ball and wii remotes then he was in his presents.

Afterwards we sang songs while Tim played the guitar with Paxton and Rilynn's help.

Notice Rilynn's guitar is backwards and Paxton was in "rock star" mode with his shirt unbuttoned. He loved us to sing to him and would dance to it, here is the video. That is Paxton feeding him at the end.

I can't believe my last baby is one! :( He is up to 3 on his tooth count. He pulls himself up on everything and walks along furniture, but not really close to walking otherwise. He is very strong willed and he screams bloody murder when he doesn't get his way. He loves to eat everything and we actually have to hide food from him, or he never quits eating and just gets angry if you don't keep it coming. He sleeps good at night and two good naps a day. We love him to pieces. Happy first birthday Cooper!

We're Here

I think my camera is officially dead, so we have to get a new one before I can post pictures-yuck!. We started our move Saturday and it rained THE WHOLE WAY! I literally didn't turn off my windshield wipers from Boise until a half hour away from Auburn (I thought it never rained in NV?). Rilynn threw up when we were only about 15 minutes away from Auburn, but other than that the kids traveled pretty good, thanks to Grandparent gifts. When we got here, there were about 7 men we had never met from the ward here to help us unload. One of them had brought us dinner (smoked steak tips-mmmmm) and another family had brought breakfast. Wow, how sweet. We had only been here like 5 minutes when Paxton decided to take on the huge/steep driveway on his scooter...guess who won...Not Paxton! His whole forehead, nose, lip, and both elbows have a mean road rash goin on!

The house is okay, big, but pretty awkward layout. I guess we just need to figure it out, but whatever the house lacks, the neighborhood makes up for it 10 fold! The gated neighborhood we are in is amazing. It is all built around a lake and was originally built to be a vacation resort neighborhood, but people liked it so much they started just living here. It has a big lake (that we can see from our front porch) and people are always boating and skiing on it, it has several little parks around the lake that are sandy little beaches and play grounds, it has a swimming pool w/a cute kiddy pool, a golf course, tennis courts, it is seriously cool.

Our ward was small, but sooo friendly and it is made up of just our neighborhood. It seemed so foreign to have to drive any distance to church, it is probably a 15-20 minute drive. They seem to have a lot of activities, so hopefully that will help us to make friends fast. Paxton is already invited to a birthday party this Saturday, Yeah!

Anyway so far so good...keep your fingers crossed.

Change is in the Air

Jeff finally got us a house to rent! Yeah! I think the house is in Auburn (maybe a town called Grass Valley), but it is really close to Jeff's store! So it is official...this weekend we will become Californians! Jeff flys home tomorrow and we'll leave Friday (maybe Saturday).
